Our Mission:

Reduce harm.

Northern Valley Harm Reduction Coalition (NVHRC) is a community led effort committed to reducing harm and providing evidence-based education, advocacy, and direct services to all community members within Butte and the surrounding counties. NVHRC recognizes that to implement holistic and effective change, we must reach our community members with a client-centered approach.

Volunteer opportunities

We’re a group of dedicated community members who are helping saving lives on the side of our regular jobs. NVHRC was founded in July 2018 by a group of about 20 passionate community members who wanted to bring harm reduction to Butte County. We have a need for a licensed nurse, PA, or doctor to help provide first aid and abscess care to our friends who are unhoused in Butte County during our street outreach. Join us!

Make a Donation

NVHRC is not a 501(c)3, yet, but we’re working on it. We are 100% volunteer run organization and 100% of your donations go to direct services right here in Butte County. If you’d like to help us out, take a look at our Amazon Wish List or make a tax deductible financial donation.
